Roof Trusses

Prefabricated timber roof trusses from Protruss are manufactured using advanced design software and precision-engineered connector technology to create strong, accurate, and efficient roof structures.

The process begins with a detailed structural design, where specialist MiTek software calculates loads, spans, wind requirements, and roof geometry to produce an engineered truss solution tailored to the project. Once the design is approved, timber components are cut to exact lengths using computer-controlled equipment and assembled in a controlled manufacturing environment. Galvanised steel nail plates are then pressed into the timber members, creating strong and reliable connections that meet Australian building standards. Each truss is quality checked before being delivered to site ready for installation.

The use of prefabricated roof trusses offers significant benefits for builders, developers, and homeowners. Because the trusses are engineered and manufactured off-site, construction time on site is greatly reduced, helping projects stay on schedule and lowering labour costs. Factory production also ensures consistent quality, precise dimensions, and minimal material waste compared with traditional stick-built roof framing.

Our trusses are designed to maximise structural efficiency, allowing for longer spans and more open internal spaces while maintaining strength and stability. The result is a high-performance roofing system that delivers faster installation, improved safety, reduced waste, and dependable long-term structural performance.

Posi-Strut Floor Trusses

Posi-Strut floor systems from Protruss combine the strength of timber chords with the versatility of galvanised steel webs to create a highly efficient engineered floor structure.

The process begins with advanced MiTek design software, which analyses the building's loading requirements, spans, and layout to develop an optimised floor system. Once the design is complete, the timber top and bottom chords are precision cut and connected using steel V-shaped webs in a controlled manufacturing environment.

This prefabricated approach ensures each Posi-Strut member is manufactured to exact specifications, quality checked, and delivered to site ready for rapid installation.

The benefits of using MiTek Posi-Strut floor systems extend well beyond structural performance. The open-web design creates large service zones that allow plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and data services to pass through the floor structure without the need for drilling or notching, reducing installation time and preserving structural integrity.

Posi-Strut systems are capable of achieving longer spans than conventional floor framing, providing greater design flexibility and creating more open internal spaces. Factory-manufactured components also deliver superior accuracy, minimise material waste, and accelerate construction programmes through faster on-site installation. The result is a strong, stable, and cost-effective flooring solution that improves build efficiency while delivering long-term performance and reliability.

Wall Frames

Prefabricated timber wall frames offer a faster, more efficient approach to residential construction by shifting much of the framing process from the building site to a controlled manufacturing environment.

Using engineered designs and precision cutting equipment, wall frames are manufactured to exact dimensions before being delivered to site ready for installation. This significantly reduces on-site labour requirements and allows the structural shell of a home to be erected quickly, helping builders achieve shorter construction schedules and improved project certainty.

In addition to accelerating construction, prefabricated timber wall frames provide superior accuracy and consistency compared to traditional stick-built framing. Factory production minimises material waste, improves quality control, and ensures walls are manufactured in accordance with engineering and building code requirements. The precision of prefabricated frames results in straighter walls, improved fitment of internal linings and finishes, and fewer on-site adjustments. Timber wall frames are also lightweight, sustainable, and easy to handle, making them a cost-effective and environmentally responsible choice for modern residential construction.

The combination of faster installation, improved quality, reduced waste, and reliable structural performance makes prefabricated timber wall frames an increasingly popular solution for home builders and developers.
